Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered on the E! Network on October 14th, 2007. It ran for 20 seasons over the span of almost 14 years. The final season premiered March 18th, 2021.
The Kardashians premiered on Hulu on April 14th, 2022, and is still going strong.
I remember watching season one of Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK). At the time, I was a busy single mom, raising five children and working three jobs- yes, they all have the same dad. By then my promiscuous, slutty days were behind me...mostly. I was disgusted by the Kardashians. My POV: a family of spoiled brats who have zero respect for their mom. Not characteristics I needed my children to emulate.
One season of KUWTK was more than enough for me. Years went by. Season after season of KUWTK aired; none watched by me. Then came Covid. Having watched all my favorite Real Housewives franchises, several times over and desperate for something new to stream, Keeping Up kept popping up on my For You category. The thought of spending time watching these overindulged, rich assholes was unappealing, but my children were adults on their own and I was desperate. Desperation won.
Maybe I was weak from the pandemic, perhaps it was the edibles I was taking for "pain", but these bitches grew on me. I'd still like to keep up with the Kardashians. Don't you want to know what happens with Khloe and Tristan? Who Kim's next romantic victim will be? Will Kourtney and Travis stay in honeymoon mode?
