RHOSLC The Bermuda Triangle 12/15/2023

Happy Birthday to Monica. Heather and the ladies plan a fun-filled day to celebrate Monica's 39th birthday. During breakfast, Monica shares that she is going to visit her family members who live in Bermuda. Family members she has not seen for 30 years. She throws, yet another, dig at her mom, Linda, who I personally feel is a psychotic bitch, but you'll never "heal" if you keep trashing her every chance you get. Monica sheds tears, as per usual, because she is so touched by the fruit, croissants and tacky decorations. “No one has ever done anything this nice for me”. Maybe it’s time to make new friends.

After breakfast, Monica summons Lisa to her suite. Monica is feeling nervous, a little anxious and overwhelmed at the thought of seeing her family for the first time in 30 years. She’d like Lisa to go along with her. Of course, Lisa is happy to go. We all know Lisa is nosy as hell. She even says, “I want to see who you come from and where your roots are”. Why does Monica choose Lisa? If anyone in the group has had suspicions about Monica, it’s Lisa. The old saying, keep your friends close and your enemies closer, comes to my mind. While they make plans for the day, Monica drops a bomb in Lisa’s lap while throwing Meredith under the bus. Monica tells Lisa that Meredith called her to say that Angie is part of the Greek Mafia, then discussed her financial situation. Magically, a week later, Monica’s IG account is flooded with DM’s showing Angie and her husband’s financial paperwork. Lisa is pissed off! She recounts her issues from last season.

During the van ride, Monica questions Heather about her daughter, Ashley’s sex life. Heather is taken aback, letting everyone know she is not going to discuss it. The fact that Monica cannot understand that it’s Heather’s daughters’ private business just goes to show how delusional Monica really is. The ladies have fun jet skiing, get back on the Sprinter, Monica looks at her phone, rushes off the van into the bathroom and crumbles into an emotional mess. Lisa runs after her. Monica tearfully explains that her family no longer want to meet her because her mom, Linda poisoned them against her. Do I believe it? Not really. The way I see it, Monica and her mom, Linda are grifters. They use people for their own advantage. I don’t believe there was even a meeting set up with Monica’s family in Bermuda. It’s all a ploy.
